AI Quiz Builder
The goal of this project was to expand BuzzFeed’s quiz builder to make AI powered quizzes. The initial scope of this project was to build upon existing infrastructure and give editors the ability to add unique quiz results based on user input using AI. We iteratively added more features such as a playground to test these quizzes, customization of result cards, updated sharing options, and support for AI generated images.
I owned design for the AI Quiz Builder, and prioritized design work based on all other AI initiatives happening at BuzzFeed. I have worked closely with our engineers and editorial partners to ensure that writers have a simplified experience writing AI prompts in a flexible but controlled environment.

BuzzFeed CMS
As design owner of the BuzzFeed CMS, I have led and coordinated designs on all projects to enhance our internal tools and make them accessible. I have established consistent workflows and UX patterns to make any new updates feel modern and simple. More recently, I have been collaborating with product and engineering to add AI powered tools to our CMS that would be beneficial to our editors’ existing workflow.
I have designed updates for several tools such as Imagebuilder (a tool to make custom thumbnails in the BuzzFeed style) and PostList (a tool for tracking and scheduling posts). I have also consulted with other designers whenever their projects need any updates to the CMS.

SEO Auto Link
I led a 0-1 project for establishing a brand new tool that allows for better search engine optimization on BuzzFeed’s site. The goal of this project was to allow our editors to curate a list of terms and associated links to boost SEO scores. This effort would simplify our editors workflows since they would no longer have to add any internal links in any articles.
We used a phased approach for this project, starting with manually added links first and soon expanding to automatically recognized links. I worked closely with our infrastructure team to understand how the APIs they were building could be translated to the actual user interface.
-
Unified Quiz Builder
BuzzFeed quizzes are some of the most popular pieces of content on the internet. The goal of this project was to make a simplified quiz builder that allowed our editors to make a variety of quizzes (personality, trivia, poll, etc) using a similar workflow instead of using a disparate set of tools.
I owned all design and research for this project, collaborating with our PM and engineers and working very closely with our editorial partners. The unified quiz builder has allowed for longer and better monetized quizzes and this overhaul laid the foundation for how other internal tooling projects are rolled out.

VMware Profile Resources
The goal of this project was to simplify deployment and maintenance of device settings. The new workflow allowed users to make deployments in one go across across multiple device platforms, instead of having to deploy them separately. This project was originally undertaken as a proof of concept, eventually leading to an overhaul of the entire admin console.
I owned design for all stages of this project, coordinating with several designers, PMs and teams. I also led the effort to integrate all of profiles into the larger Freestyle Orchestrator product happening concurrently at VMware. The innovative solution for this project has been awarded several patents for concept and design.

AirWatch Privacy
The goal of this project was to educate end users about how their data and devices are protected by AirWatch, address their privacy concerns and increase transparency. This project was undertaken because there were growing concerns about whether AirWatch and other MDM solutions are like Big Brother, which were affecting end user adoption.
I owned UX design for this project and coordinated with a visual designer to bring this to life. Working on this project involved several rounds of product testing with end users who used AirWatch line of business apps.
